The day
A full day on the Panorama Route with a guide who knows which viewpoint to take first so the sun is behind you. God's Window, Bourke's Luck Potholes, the Three Rondavels and the waterfalls, without the coach-tour scramble.
The Panorama Route is short on a map and long in reality: every corner is a stop. We run it anti-clockwise from Hazyview so the canyon is lit in the afternoon rather than shadowed, and we time the potholes for when the tour buses have gone. Your guide carries the geology and the history, and knows the footpath at each viewpoint that gets you away from the railing.
