The day
A tandem skydive over the Cape peninsula. You are strapped to a licensed instructor, jump from around 9,000 feet, freefall for about thirty seconds, then fly under canopy with Camps Bay, Lion's Head and the whole coastline below.
There is nowhere better in the world to do this. The drop zone sits with Table Mountain and the Twelve Apostles on one side and the Atlantic on the other, and under canopy your instructor turns you so you see the entire peninsula. No experience is needed for a tandem, the briefing takes about twenty minutes, and video and stills are filmed by a camera flyer who exits with you. Weather calls are made on the morning.
