The day
A giant observation wheel at the V&A Waterfront with enclosed, climate-controlled cabins. Four full rotations over the harbour, the city bowl and Table Mountain, and it is worth doing at night when the whole bowl is lit.
By day you get the working harbour, the mountain and the yachts. By night the city bowl becomes a bright shelf under a black mountain, and the Waterfront lights sit on the water. Cabins are fully enclosed with air conditioning, so weather does not spoil it, and each holds a small group rather than a crowd. We pair it with dinner at the Waterfront either side of the ride.
